Our History

Al Mahmood General Hospital has been serving the Jambusar, Amod, and Vagra region since 2009, growing from a modest charitable clinic into a 100-bed multispecialty hospital under the stewardship of Al Mahmood Charitable Trust (AMCT).

Over the years, the hospital has introduced several firsts for the region — including the first CT scan facility in Jambusar, the first digital X-ray facility, and the region's only fully automated digital pathology laboratory — while keeping treatment affordable for the communities we serve.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Trust demonstrated its capacity for rapid response by expanding hospital capacity to 125 beds and establishing a temporary satellite medical facility in Amod, ensuring continuity of care when the region needed it most.

Today, the hospital is empanelled under PMJAY (Ayushman Bharat), allowing eligible patients to receive cashless treatment, and continues to expand its services — including an in-house pharmacy, an ICU-on-wheels ambulance service, and a fully computerised pathology laboratory added in the past year.
