The Al Mahmood Charitable Trust is currently expanding its educational horizon by developing a dedicated Nursing and Paramedical Institute. This initiative is designed to address the shortage of skilled healthcare professionals in the Jambusar, Amod, and Vagra regions while providing career opportunities for local youth.

Nursing & Paramedical Institute: Vision and Scope

This institute will serve as a training ground to create a sustainable pipeline of healthcare talent, directly supporting the Trust’s mission of providing comprehensive medical relief.

1. Academic Programs Under Development

The institute aims to offer professional certifications and degrees in several key areas:

  • Nursing Sciences: Programs such as GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) and ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife) to train high-quality nursing staff.

  • Paramedical Courses: Training in essential diagnostic and support roles, including:

    • Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT): Supporting the hospital’s Pathology department.

    • Radiology & Imaging Technology: Training technicians for CT Scan and X-ray services.

    • Dialysis Technology: Building a specialized workforce for the hospital’s active Hemo-Dialysis unit.

    • Operation Theater (OT) Technology: To assist surgeons in the surgeries performed annually.

2. Strategic Objectives

  • Local Empowerment: To provide the youth of Jambusar, Amod, and Vagra with specialized vocational training, enabling them to secure dignified employment within their own community.

  • Institutional Synergy: Students will have the unique advantage of hands-on clinical training at Al Mahmood General Hospital, a 24/7 multispecialty facility.

  • Affordability: In line with the Trust’s “subsidized” model, the institute will offer scholarships and affordable fee structures for students from “economically weaker sections”.

3. Infrastructure and Facilities

The development phase focuses on creating a modern learning environment, including:

  • Dedicated Labs: Advanced simulation labs for nursing and diagnostic training.

  • Expert Faculty: Bringing in seasoned medical professionals and educators to lead the curriculum.

Aims of the Institute

  1. Quality Care: To elevate the standard of patient care at Al Mahmood General Hospital through better-trained support staff.

  2. Rural Healthcare Upliftment: To send trained paramedics into the field during medical camps and outreach programs.

  3. Sustainability: To ensure the Trust can continue its 24/7 operations with a permanent, skilled, and local workforce.
